U.P.PRO is a global supply chain and inventory management company, supporting leading customers through hands-on, data-driven operations.

We are currently looking for a Buyer / Planner to join our Ireland team and play a key role in ensuring inventory availability, operational continuity, and strong supplier performance.

This role reports directly to the Site Lead and works closely with a collaborative team of 7–8 professionals in a dynamic, customer-facing environment.


What you’ll be responsible for:

 

Inventory Management

  • Align with the customer on required inventory levels and maintain accurate catalog data
  • Monitor daily inventory status, identify risks of shortages, and provide recovery plans
  • Optimize inventory levels by collaborating with U.P.PRO’s internal network of buyers and planners
  • Resolve issues related to warehoused materials and excess inventory
  • Manage disposition and removal of low-consumption inventory, in line with customer requirements

Purchasing & Supply Chain Execution

  • Make purchasing decisions and place purchase orders in line with KPIs
  • Ensure supplier acknowledgment of PO terms and conditions
  • Manage on-time delivery and resolve issues from PO placement through receipt
  • Support account reconciliation and follow-up on discrepancies

Experience & Education

  • Business degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in purchasing or supply chain roles within a manufacturing or similar environment
  • Proven experience working in KPI-driven environments

Skills & Capabilities

  • Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail
  • Advanced Excel and solid data analysis skills
  • Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with internal teams, customers, and suppliers
  • Project management capabilities and experience leading initiatives through to closure

Additional requirements

  • Candidates must be based in Ireland
  • Full work authorization in Ireland is required for this role
