We've got Payments, FX, and Cards in the pipeline, but we want more than "industry standard". We want products that make clients think: ‘Wow, I didn't know banking could be as easy and fun like this.

We are looking for a Business Analyst with solid experience in the Payments Sector who will serve as the central point of contact between business stakeholders, international clients, and delivery teams. This is an initial 3-month contract to start as soon as possible.

The ideal candidate has deep knowledge of payment processes—including payment initiation, approval, settlement, reconciliation, chargebacks, and other payment states—and can translate complex business requirements into actionable technical specifications.

This is a hands-on BA role with a strong focus on requirements definition, process analysis, and solution definition in digital payments products. Fluency in English and experience collaborating with international teams are essential skills.

Key Responsibilities

Business & Payments Understanding

    • Analyze business needs and product objectives in the payment domain. In particular experience writing test plans for payments execution and reconciliation on the following Schemes: SEPA, SWIFT, T2, FPS, CHAPS & BACS
    • Deep understanding of the end-to-end payment lifecycle: authorization, validation, approval, settlement, clearing, and reconciliation.

Requirements Analysis & Documentation

    • Elicit, document, and manage functional and non-functional requirements.
    • Translate business needs into clear, detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and functional specifications.
    • Support prioritization of requirements with business stakeholders based on value and feasibility.
    • Ensure alignment of requirements with regulatory, compliance, and risk considerations in payments.

Collaboration with Delivery Teams

    • Work closely with development, QA, architecture, and operations teams to clarify requirements and ensure accurate implementation.
    • Participate in Agile ceremonies (refinements, sprint planning, reviews).
    • Support UAT, testing, and deployment for payment features.
    • Maintain traceability of requirements throughout the delivery lifecycle.

Stakeholder Management & Communication

    • Facilitate workshops, demos, and alignment sessions with business and technical teams.
    • Communicate requirements and process flows clearly and professionally in English.

Continuous Improvement & Best Practices

    • Proactively identify opportunities to improve payments workflows, processes, and reporting.
    • Ensure consistent application of business analysis best practices.
    • Promote a user-focused and risk-aware approach to payment solutions.


Requirements
  • Minimum 5+ years as a Business Analyst in payments, banking, or financial services.
  • Proven experience in mapping payment flows, exception handling , reconciliation, defining business rules, building test plans and documenting functional requirements.
  • Hands-on experience with Agile delivery teams.

Payments Knowledge

  • Deep understanding of the end-to-end payments’ lifecycle: payment initiation, approval, processing, settlement, clearing, reconciliation, chargebacks, exceptions.
  • Knowledge of payment schemes, gateways, and domestic/international payment regulations.
  • Experience in analyzing and improving payment processes and operational efficiency.
  • Experience with digital wallets, card payments, or cross-border payments.
  • Familiarity with payment compliance standards (e.g., PCI DSS, PSD2).
  • Exposure to financial reporting, reconciliation, or fraud prevention processes.

Technical & Tools

  • Experience creating process diagrams, user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications.
  • Familiarity with tools like Monday.com or similar, Notion or similar, Figma.
  • Basic understanding of software architecture, APIs, and integrations is a plus.

Language & Communication

  • English – advanced/fluent (written and spoken).
  • Ability to communicate complex payments concepts to both business and technical stakeholders.

Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization abilities.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to influence without authority.
  • Customer- and compliance-focused mindset.
