About the role 

An exciting opportunity has opened up for a Business Analyst on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract.

As a Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting delivery across the organisation by helping teams translate business process into clear technical standards and procedures as part of our policy implementation programme. The role will also provide an opportunity to identify process gaps, highlight areas for improved governance and efficiency, while translating these areas into business requirements. This is a business-facing role suited to someone who enjoys working across multiple departments, engaging with stakeholders, and enhancing business processes.

In the role, the successful candidate will: 

The successful candidate will be a collaborative leader with a strong quality mindset, capable of taking ownership of testing across multiple initiatives while driving continuous improvement in quality practices. They will work closely with business and technology stakeholders to ensure quality is embedded throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). 

In the role, the successful candidate will: 

Business Analysis & Process Improvement

  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into high quality business requirements and user stories.
  • Document and analyse existing business processes to identify current operating standard and highlight areas of improvement.
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Head of Operations and business subject matter experts, including assisting with the writing of procedure documents, templates and implementation plans.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and other materials as requested by the Head of Operations.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Facilitate workshops, and requirements sessions with business teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Prepare business documentation including procedures, standards, requirements, process maps, and operating models.
  • Support communication of change impacts and benefits across the organisation including control enhancement benefit.
  • Act as a liaison between team members and other internal parties, ensuring effective communication and coordination of tasks.

Regulatory & Risk Alignment

  • Ensure alignment of requirements and documentation with internal controls and regulatory expectations.
    Support audit, compliance, and control assessments as required.
  • Assist with ad hoc tasks as assigned by SMEs or other senior team members.

About you  

We are looking for somebody who has the following background and skills: 

  • 4+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst in financial services. 
  • Strong experience gathering and documenting business requirements and process flows. 
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. 
  • Highly organised with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. 
  • Familiarity with tools such as JIRA and Power BI  
  • Exposure to regulatory or risk-related change initiatives. 
  • Knowledge of project methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, or hybrid).
