Backend Developer

At Uni Systems, we are working towards turning digital visions into reality. We are continuously growing and we are looking for a Backend Developer to join our UniQue team.

What will you be doing in this role?

• Develop solutions (e.g., Space operational dashboard) in order to collect and visualize different types of Space-specific data and information from various sources.
• Report on the current state of the backend and suggested improvements.
• Implement static information tables that can be used to customize the frontend and improve deployment.
• Design and integrate a customizable implementation of the client side API of the UDL (Unified Data Library) to store relevant information from the UDL in the backend database.
• Implement conjunction analysis, maneuver detection and re-entry prediction using existing refined data from APIs.
• Working together with frontend development, implement a key data summary report generator.
• Implement an interface with the STK software as a calculation backend for orbital dynamics.

What do you need to succeed in this position?

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent 3 years of higher education in computer science / engineering field.
• At least 3 years of experience in Backend development.
• Strong Python skills, with experience in frameworks like Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Experience with Kubernetes, API/web services, application design, and automation.
• Skilled in database administration and systems like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
• Proficient with SharePoint Server, SharePoint Online, and SPFx.
• Familiar with unit testing (e.g., unittest, pytest), version control (Git), and cloud deployment (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Prior experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
• Knowledge of database systems like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
• Familiarity with PowerShell scripts automation.

Desirable:

• Familiarity with ESRI tools, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and front-end frameworks like React.
• Experience with SharePoint APIs, Designer, workflows (Power Automate/Designer).
• Skilled in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, PowerBI).
• Knowledge of CI/CD, Docker, and automated deployment.
• Understanding of data analysis, machine learning (Python), and libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, Requests, and SQLAlchemy.
