As an Associate AWS Engineer, you'll join a collaborative engineering team building cloud services that support OSA Pathways within our growing Digital Health business. Working from our hybrid Dublin office, you'll help develop secure, scalable backend services that support key stages of the patient journey—from sleep-health screening through diagnosis and treatment pathways.

This is an opportunity to grow your engineering career while working on meaningful products that connect patients, providers, partners, and healthcare systems. You'll contribute to modern AWS-based services, collaborate with experienced engineers and cross-functional teams, and gain hands-on experience building reliable software that supports real-world healthcare outcomes. The role is offered as a hybrid position with 2–3 days per week onsite in our Dublin, Sandyford office.

What You'll Do

  • Develop, test, and maintain reliable, scalable, and secure backend software applications.
  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers, architects, QA, security, and data teams to deliver solutions that meet business and user needs.
  • Contribute to cloud-based, serverless services supporting digital health products and workflows.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code aligned with team and industry best practices.
  • Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge-sharing activities.
  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects, integration challenges, and performance issues.
  • Support the continuous improvement of development processes, delivery pipelines, observability practices, and release readiness activities.
  • Learn from experienced engineers while contributing to technical discussions, implementation decisions, and solution delivery.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline involving coding.
  • Working knowledge of Python and an understanding of object-oriented design principles.
  • Exposure to AWS services, particularly serverless technologies such as Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, and CloudFront.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Understanding of RESTful API design, authentication and authorization concepts, including OAuth2 and JWT.
  • Understanding of microservices architecture principles.
  • Knowledge of software testing methodologies, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
  • Comfort working in agile development environments using tools such as Jira, Confluence, and GitHub.
  • A collaborative approach and enthusiasm for learning, growth, and knowledge sharing.

Nice to have

  • Exposure to message-brokering systems such as SQS or SNS and event-driven architectures.
  • Exposure to NoSQL and relational database technologies.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and monitoring or logging tools.
  • Experience developing modern web applications using JavaScript/TypeScript together with React.js and/or Next.js is a big plus.
