Application SupportAbout your role:
At Fiserv, we are committed to delivering reliable service and support for critical business applications. As an Application Support - Sr Professional I, you will play an important role in keeping systems running smoothly, resolving technical issues, and improving application performance and reliability. You will also work closely with users, development teams, and QA to support production stability and business continuity.
What you’ll do:
Provide expert-level support for business applications, ensuring maximum uptime and performance
Troubleshoot and resolve complex application issues, working with development teams when needed
Monitor application performance and lead improvements to efficiency and reliability
Document support activities, maintain logs, and create user guides and training materials
Develop backend configuration enhancements and automated job schedules to support batch processing
Mentor junior support team members and provide technical guidance
Assist QA with replicating production issues and building test packs
Provide out-of-hours on-call support for production processing on a rostered basis

Experience you’ll need to have:
Experience in production support
Experience with SQL and PL/SQL
Experience troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
Experience with UNIX shell scripting or Python
An equivalent combination of educational background, related experience, and/or military experience
Experience that would be great to have:
Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools
Knowledge of ITIL frameworks and best practices
Experience with automation and scripting languages
Working knowledge of cloud technologies
Exposure to APIs and microservices in Java
Previous experience in card payments or merchant acquiring
