The FP&A Analyst will assist with updating budgets, forecasts and actuals, developing analyses, and tracking performance indicators on behalf of the Leasing function within Element Fleet Management. This role will support the Senior Manager, FP&A and other team members to inform decision making of the Leasing senior management team.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and submission of consolidated budgets/forecasts for Leasing and related services
- Prepare and maintain some driver-based financial and operating models to support decision-making and short/long-term planning
- Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators, including relevant areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses, cashflow
- Identify meaningful reporting discrepancies and determine variance drivers
- Support team members in developing a detailed leasing forecast model and associated reporting to leverage from
- Other duties as assigned, including special projects
Key Interactions:
- Delivery of data/reports/analysis to the IRE Executive team to inform decision making
- Coordination with global FP&A and North American Accounting team to ensure budgeting and reporting alignment
- Understanding in detail interest margin in the Leasing business
- Collaboration with local Accounting team and department heads with regard to expense management
Qualifications, Education, and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required
- Base financial modelling and analytical skills. Minimum 3 years of finance and accounting knowledge and experience, forecasting and budgeting is preferrable
- Prior experience in Leasing and/or Banking a strong plus
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
- Attention to detail to ensure information presented should be free of errors/misstatements to ensure leadership can trust and act on insights provided
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a timely manner
- Proficient use of financial systems and analysis tools, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Power-Point, Word). Knowledge of general ledger systems. Exposure to OneStream a strong plus
