The Accounting Executive will be responsible for executing daily accounting activities, including the preparation of accounting entries, reconciliation of bank and other financial accounts, and assisting in the preparation of various financial reports of Shift4 and other group companies.
The role involves collaborating with the finance team and other departments to support financial control and reporting.
A successful Accounting Executive should be a hands-on individual who is goal-oriented, highly organized, and able to work with little to no supervision.
Responsibilities will include:
- Working closely with the finance team to prepare accounting entries, ensuring all supporting documentation is accurate and well‑organised.
- Contributing to the preparation of monthly management accounts, giving you valuable exposure to key business insights.
- Supporting the completion of bank reconciliations to ensure records are accurate and up to date.
- Reconciling intercompany accounts across our group entities, investigating and resolving differences in collaboration with colleagues.
- Collaborating with the team on other ad‑hoc tasks and projects, giving you the opportunity to broaden your skills and contribute to the team’s success.
We would love to meet with someone with:
• a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
• proficient in Microsoft office applications with strong experience in Excel.
• excellent organizational and interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.
• able to work diligently and on own initiative with minimal supervision.
• ability to learn quickly and work in a team environment.
