Salesforce is seeking an experienced Accounting Director to support the organization’s strategy, growth, and operational excellence. This role is part of our EMEA Finance Hub in Dublin and will play a key leadership role in managing core accounting processes and driving continuous improvement across the organization.

Role Overview:
As Accounting Director, you will lead a team of highly skilled professionals accountable as Global Process Owner (GPO) or Regional Process Owner (RPO) for critical processes, including:

  • Foreign currencies and hedging accounting

  • Cash management

  • Intercompany accounting

  • Indirect tax accounting

You will operate within a dynamic environment overseeing 30+ entities, providing leadership, ensuring compliance, and driving innovation in accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as Global Process Owner for areas such as FX and hedging accounting, intercompany, cash, and indirect tax accounting, collaborating with Finance leadership (SEC, Treasury, Consolidations, Tax, etc.)

  • Lead a team supporting international accounting operations for Group US GAAP and local GAAP reporting

  • Manage monthly close operations, SOX controls, and reporting with support from the Shared Service Center to ensure timely and accurate financial close

  • Provide project accounting subject matter expertise for cross-functional initiatives

  • Prepare accounting memos supporting key transactions and policy elections; liaise with advisors and external auditors

  • Develop and maintain partnerships internally and externally to drive process execution and alignment on end-to-end processes

  • Influence corporate accounting policy definition and ensure adoption across the organization

  • Evaluate processes and system infrastructure, identify, and implement process improvement opportunities

  • Lead, train, and develop team members, fostering growth in international accounting, tax, and compliance knowledge

Qualifications & Experience:

  • CPA or recognized equivalent qualification required

  • 8+ years of relevant accounting experience

  • Experience in fast-paced multinational environments (publicly traded companies or audit firms)

  • Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS

  • Expertise in hedge and FX accounting, cash management, intercompany, and transfer pricing

  • Knowledge of VAT principles and preparation of returns

  • Experience in multi-ledger environments

  • Experience managing SOX compliance programs or country equivalents

  • Familiarity with major ERP systems and associated applications

  • Results-oriented, hands-on, decisive, and able to thrive in a challenging environment

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills

  • Ability to drive change and respond quickly to evolving business needs

  • English fluency required; additional European languages are a plus
