About the Role:

This will be part of a team based in central Dublin and supported from Zurich, London and New Jersey. We are looking for an Accounting Analyst who enjoys a varied role, capable of working to deadlines, happy to work in a small team, be professional and use their initiative.

This position will be based in our Dublin office with a hybrid schedule of working two days remote each week.

Role & Responsibilities (include but not limited to):

  • Maintain and analyse technical reinsurance accounts.

  • Processing payments to clients and brokers in the technical reporting system.

  • Liaise with our Underwriting and Claims teams.

  • Responding to queries from clients and brokers.

  • Assisting the Head of Finance with quarterly reporting requirements.

  • Assisting with end-user testing requirements for new system implementation.

Qualifications:

  • A Business/Finance/Accountancy Degree preferred.

  • The candidate will be a qualified accountant or be sitting their final professional exams (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).

Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong end user computing skills in particular MS Excel (intermediate), Word and PowerPoint.

  • Good communication skills and strong attention to detail.

  • Good organisational and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work to tight deadlines.

  • The candidate will be a self-starter, have the ability to work on their own initiative as well as being flexible, energetic and capable of working as part of a team.

  • Proven working experience in an accounting position, preferable in the Reinsurance or wider Financial Services sector considered.
