About the Role:
EIID’s Financial Control and Reporting team in Dublin are hiring a Financial Accountant as part of a plan to scale-up and support Everest’s wider growth plan. The Financial Accountant will report to the Financial Close Manager and work alongside the wider team in the completion of day-to-day insurance reporting and controllership activities, including any projects essential to a high-quality finance delivery in a growth environment.
This position will be based in our Dublin office with a hybrid schedule of working two days remote each week.
Role & Responsibilities (include but not limited to):

Support month-end, quarterly and annual close processes, including real time review of financials.

Preparation of quarterly executive, audit, and Board committee information.

Support internal and external audit processes.

Preparation and review of key balance sheet reconciliations.

Support preparation of Annual Financial Statements under Irish GAAP (FRS 102/103).

Support preparation of all external returns including:
-
quarterly and annual Solvency II returns to the CBI and PRA.

adjusted GAAP accounts for returns to taxation authorities.

ad hoc regulatory reporting requirements across European branches.

Help to develop, implement, and maintain robust accounting and financial controls across the Company.

Support finance transformation to drive process and system improvements to enable increased efficiency and accuracy.

Provide support on various Financial Control & Reporting team projects, as required.
Qualifications:
-
Recently or newly qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) with relevant financial services experience, preferably in the insurance industry.

Strong academic background with a relevant Bachelor’s degree.
Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:

A highly organised, ambitious self-starter, with the ability to prioritise workload and take ownership for areas of responsibility.

Strong communication skills with the ability to interact constructively within the team and across multiple stakeholders.

Strong understanding of Insurance accounting principles, including Solvency II.

Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Analytical, with excellent attention to detail and accuracy being essential.
