Support R&D for a biophotonics fluorescence lifetime system: prepare samples, operate and align optical instruments, acquire and document experimental data, perform Python/MATLAB analysis and visualisation, contribute reports and presentations, and ensure GLP, health & safety, and quality compliance.

Lead and grow an independent power-electronics research programme within IERC, managing projects, supervising postgraduates, delivering high-quality reports and publications, securing competitive funding, coordinating stakeholders, developing prototypes and HIL/real-time platforms (e.g., OPAL-RT), and advancing grid-integration and decarbonisation technologies through collaboration and industry engagement.

Lead research in sustainable, battery-less RF IoT sensing platforms, focusing on resource-efficient component design, sustainable materials, and advanced wireless power transfer (RF-to-DC). Drive prototyping, system demonstrations, secure research funding, supervise students, publish in top-tier venues, and translate work into manufacturable low-environmental-impact solutions.
