Teams at Toast

Design, build, and maintain scalable software for Toast’s international mid-market restaurant customers. Deliver features end to end, collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering, monitor outcomes, and iterate based on usage. The role involves backend and full-stack development across Java, Kotlin, React, and related technologies, use of AI-assisted development tools, and mentoring less experienced engineers through reviews and feedback.

Designs and supports cloud-native infrastructure, automation, landing zones, network and security infrastructure across AWS regions. Builds and maintains infrastructure-as-code modules, CI/CD tools, developer platform services, and migration tooling. Establishes coding standards, tests internal tools, mentors developers, and leads critical platform features at scale.

Staff Software Engineer responsible for architecting, building, and scaling AI agent systems for restaurant marketing and demand generation. The role requires hands-on backend and full-stack development, technical leadership, cross-functional collaboration, mentoring, end-to-end feature delivery, and improving engineering workflows with AI tools. The engineer will design reliable systems, resolve performance bottlenecks, guide technical standards, and support product growth in a hybrid Dublin environment.
