Manages science and technology initiatives for sustainable industrial fisheries. Leads multidisciplinary projects involving electronic monitoring, AI, machine learning, computer vision, data systems, hardware, software deployment, and seafood traceability. Oversees vendors, contractors, budgets, procurements, technical assessments, and deployment of systems in remote environments. Translates technical concepts for diverse stakeholders and supports technology evaluation, scaling, and conservation strategy. The role may require domestic and international travel of 25% or more.

Provides scientific and technical leadership for climate metrics, indicators, monitoring, evaluation, and learning. Develops carbon accounting, climate adaptation, mitigation, and resilience metrics; designs quantitative, statistical, and geospatial analyses; manages datasets; prepares reports and visualizations; and supports adaptive management and impact measurement. Advises climate and conservation teams, develops monitoring systems and protocols, trains staff and partners, and may conduct fieldwork or supervise project personnel.

The Associate Director will help build and lead a global agriculture finance initiative focused on sustainable, deforestation-free food systems. Responsibilities include developing strategic initiatives, leading complex projects, negotiating agreements, coordinating with global teams and external partners, and engaging financial institutions, investors, and agribusiness stakeholders. The role requires sophisticated financial, economic, analytical, communication, and project management expertise, with emphasis on scaling innovative finance solutions for conservation and climate goals.
