Responsibilities include designing and testing features, owning delivery through deployment, evolving architecture, contributing to product strategy, reviewing code, troubleshooting production issues, mentoring engineers, and improving team velocity. The role emphasizes Java, REST APIs, distributed systems, DevOps, CI/CD, AWS, microservices, and voice and language technologies.

Develop and operate cloud-based software components for AI-powered customer experience products. Own features from design through deployment, contribute to system architecture, lead cross-microservice development, review code, and mentor engineers. Research and benchmark text-to-speech and speech-to-text engines, assess architectural impacts of new technologies, contribute to product roadmaps, and uphold security, traceability, testing, and DevOps practices.

Leads a small team designing conversational AI experiences across voice and digital channels. Combines hands-on UX, conversation design, research, prototyping, and experience strategy with people management, coaching, hiring, and workforce planning. Partners with Product, Engineering, Research, Data Science, and AI teams to shape customer-centered experiences involving dialogue, context, recovery, escalation, trust, and human handoff. Guides priorities, critiques work, develops designers, and ensures AI experiences are evaluated through real customer interactions.
