Build and ship backend features for enterprise Coder deployments, including database migrations, observability, reporting, auditing, security, scalability, and reliability improvements. Investigate production issues, resolve operator problems, document designs, participate in code reviews and RFC discussions, and join on-call rotations. The role requires professional Go development, concurrency knowledge, SQL expertise, debugging ability, and strong communication.

Lead complex, multi-team engineering programs from definition through delivery. Own scope, milestones, dependencies, risks, trade-offs, and stakeholder communication while coordinating engineering, product, design, security, and go-to-market teams. Influence architectural decisions, manage operating cadence, provide executive visibility, and improve engineering productivity through lightweight processes and AI-enabled tooling.

Build and operate production systems for Coder’s agentic development experience. Develop Go-based backend systems, contribute to React and TypeScript applications, improve agent execution and context management, and create reliable integrations across models, tools, workspaces, and developer infrastructure. Own projects through rollout, enhance system reliability and performance, participate in technical reviews, and collaborate with Product and Design to deliver useful AI-powered developer experiences.
