Leads Canonical’s global Legal and Compliance function, advising executives and the Board while building a distributed legal team. Responsibilities include public-market readiness, corporate governance, commercial contracting, intellectual property and open-source licensing, privacy, export controls, anti-bribery, competition and AI regulation. The role also oversees litigation, regulatory engagement, external counsel, M&A, partnerships and financing. It is remote in EMEA time zones, with optional London office work and international travel two to four times annually.

Leads a remote engineering team building scalable Python and Golang microservices for Canonical’s software distribution marketplaces. Responsibilities include mentoring and developing engineers, managing delivery and expectations, shaping technical strategy and roadmaps, reviewing code, guiding architecture, maintaining engineering quality, and collaborating with product managers, architects, other teams, open-source contributors, and commercial partners.

Own product marketing for a Canonical product area, including positioning, messaging, launches, competitive intelligence, sales enablement, customer research, and demand-generation campaigns. The role requires translating technical open source solutions for developer and executive audiences, influencing product, sales, and marketing stakeholders, using data to improve outcomes, and mentoring other marketers. This is a fully remote EMEA role with periodic international team travel.
