Lead process engineering for introduction and manufacturing of late-stage clinical and commercial APIs in a new APICOM facility. Responsibilities include scale-up assessments, process safety (HAZOP/HAZID), engineering calculations, equipment/functionality definition, digital tools adoption (modelling, EBRs), oversight of capital projects, GMP and SHE integration, troubleshooting, and mentoring junior staff.

Leads the commissioning, start-up, and operation of a digitally enabled pharmaceutical API manufacturing facility. Builds and develops manufacturing teams, establishes operating systems and performance culture, ensures cGMP, safety, quality, and data integrity compliance, and delivers process validation, technical transfers, product launches, supply readiness, and continuous improvement. Partners across Engineering, Quality, Supply, Development, and Digital functions to support AstraZeneca’s oncology pipeline.
