Develop networking software for Arista’s switches and routers, including Linux kernel and user-space code, routing protocols, hardware and ASIC interfaces, forwarding-state management, configuration services, and automated testing. Work across C/C++, Go, and Python in embedded Fedora Linux environments, implementing high-performance, fault-tolerant systems and protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and ISIS. Collaborate in a highly technical team focused on software-defined networking and data-center infrastructure.

Develop software for high-performance networking hardware and embedded Linux systems. Responsibilities include writing C/C++, Go, and Python code; implementing routing protocols and configuration services; programming ASICs, FPGAs, and hardware interfaces; reconciling kernel and switch forwarding states; and building automated testing systems for large-scale network devices.

Develop and maintain Layer1 networking software controlling physical connectivity components, including PHYs, transceivers, optics, and gearboxes. Design features, instrumentation, telemetry, automated tests, and hardware control interfaces using C, C++, and Python. Troubleshoot customer and system-test issues, optimize performance, lead projects, collaborate with hardware and manufacturing teams, and mentor junior engineers.
