The role requires a six-month, full-time onsite commitment in Ireland.

Develop and maintain Layer 1 networking software controlling physical connectivity components, including PHYs, transceivers, and gearboxes. Design features, automated tests, telemetry, and control interfaces using C, C++, and Python. Collaborate with customers, hardware, optics, manufacturing, testing, and support teams to troubleshoot network issues and bring new components to market. Provide technical leadership, own projects through deployment, and mentor junior engineers.

Design and implement software for Arista’s network operating system and OpenConfig team. Responsibilities involve applying strong computer science fundamentals, algorithms, software architecture, and product-engineering practices to programmable data center infrastructure, distributed systems, Linux-based networking, and software-defined networking solutions.

Design, deploy, operate, and improve scalable production infrastructure with strong reliability, observability, performance, and security. Build automation, monitoring, alerting, incident response, and infrastructure-as-code solutions. Collaborate with software engineering teams to resolve infrastructure bottlenecks, manage maintenance and staged releases, troubleshoot platform issues, conduct postmortems, and maintain resilient cloud and containerized systems.

Design, build, scale, and operate EngProd systems used by Arista development teams. Implement features, tests, and fixes; identify and resolve CI/CD, tooling, and infrastructure bottlenecks; provide production support and observability for internal developer tools.

Provide commercial legal support across Europe: draft, negotiate, and review commercial, channel, procurement and licensing agreements; advise on EU/member-state regulation, GDPR, export controls, and anti-corruption; identify legal risks, manage external counsel, and develop internal processes and templates to support cross-functional business teams.

Provide Tier-3 technical support for Arista networking products: troubleshoot complex customer environments, reproduce issues in lab, work with customers and engineering teams, document cases and recurring product issues, and recommend corrective actions.

Operate and scale internal engineering infrastructure and CI/CD platforms; build automation to reduce toil; ensure observability, reliability, and security; manage incidents and runbooks; coordinate maintenance and vendor support; collaborate with development teams to improve developer workflows and platform performance.

Join Arista's Dublin Kernel team to develop and integrate Linux kernel and BIOS features, evaluate CPUs, work with vendors, perform bringup and qualification, debug and optimize code for performance and scalability, and own projects from definition through deployment.

Design and execute test plans and topologies to validate functionality, performance, stability and scalability of Arista networking products. Find hard-to-detect bugs, work closely with developers to complement automated tests, participate in design reviews, and drive platform validation and defect verification.
