Architects and deploys multimodal 2D/3D object detection and tracking models using camera, LiDAR, and radar data. Owns perception data collection, dataset development, evaluation pipelines, production monitoring, and the perception system roadmap. The role also requires cross-functional leadership and mentoring junior engineers.

Performs software and system safety analyses for autonomous vehicle platforms, including HARA, FMEA, FTA, STPA, freedom-from-interference, and code-level hazard evaluations. Derives and traces safety requirements, defines fail-safe mechanisms, reviews safety-critical C++ and Python code, supports safety-case development, and collaborates with robotics, hardware, systems, software, and test teams to verify compliance and enable airport deployment.

Lead system safety engineering for autonomous ground vehicles: perform hazard analyses (HARA, FMEA, FTA, STPA), FMEDA and PMHF, calculate failure rates per industry standards, derive and trace functional and hardware safety requirements for supervised and driverless operation, evaluate sensors and drive-by-wire architectures, and support safety case evidence for airport deployment.
