Join our Workplace Solutions team and play a key role in supporting the end-to-end settlement of share plan transactions for corporate clients globally. As a Settlements Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely settlement of market transactions, participant transfers, and cash movements while operating within a highly controlled environment.
This role offers an opportunity to work across multiple markets, interact with internal and external stakeholders, and contribute to the continued development and automation of critical operational processes.
Job Responsibilities
· Process and monitor equity sales, purchases, and free-of-payment share transfers.
· Create, review and release SWIFT settlement instructions in accordance with established controls.
· Review broker contract notes and ensure transaction details are accurately reflected within internal systems.
· Monitor settlement status and investigate failed, unmatched, or delayed transactions.
· Liaise with custodians, transfer agents, brokers, and internal teams to ensure timely settlement of transactions.
· Manage participant transfer requests from initiation through to completion.
· Perform daily reconciliation and exception management activities.
· Ensure all activities are performed in accordance with documented procedures, regulatory requirements, and operational risk controls.
· Operate within a maker-checker framework, maintaining strong attention to detail and adherence to control standards.
· Support process improvement initiatives, automation projects, and operational change activities.
· Assist with documentation updates, procedure maintenance, and testing of new enhancements.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
· Experience in Operations, Settlements, Securities Processing, Asset Management, Custody, or Financial Services.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Proven ability to work effectively within a team environment.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
· Demonstrated ability to identify risks and escalate issues appropriately.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
· Understanding of securities settlement and post-trade operations.
· Knowledge of SWIFT settlement messaging, including MT540, MT541, MT542, MT543 and MT103 message types.
· Experience interacting with custodians, brokers, and transfer agents.
· Exposure to reconciliation and exception management activities.
· Experience supporting process improvement, automation, or change initiatives.
· Knowledge of share plan administration or equity compensation operations.
