Description

Cubic Telecom is rapidly expanding its portfolio of wholesale solutions globally. We are looking for an experienced Wholesale Strategy Manager who has spent time working in the mobile communications industry, has been involved driving competitiveness in connectivity and is motivated to join Cubic Telecom at this exciting chapter.

The Person:

The person is comfortable working in a fast paced, preferably experienced in telecommunications industry, wholesale roaming or localised connectivity solutions in IoT space is a plus. You demonstrate enthusiasm for the delivery of solutions, have a strategic approach to creating solutions and solving problems, experience in senior stakeholder management, and logical approach to your work. Our ideal candidate has an in-depth understanding of telecommunications market in connectivity space for IoT, has a good grasp of roaming, MVNO, and eUICC solutions, processes and ecosystem providers.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develop strategy for wholesale solutions to support the Cubic's competitive connectivity proposition development globally
  • Design and implement processes to deliver strategic improvements into wholesale operations across the regions
  • Take an active part in developing wholesale connectivity into a product proposition working closely with Product team
  • Interface with internal stakeholders to align on the strategy and key processes
  • Engage with key industry forums to follow and participate driving the industry innovation
  • Drive automation and the new ways of working into wholesale commercial processes
Requirements

Experience & Skillset 

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in telecommunications, IoT industry, wholesale (roaming, interconnect etc) or a related field, with a focus on strategy and operations.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and executing global strategies for wholesale solutions and connectivity products. If it is in IoT connectivity context it is a plus
  • Strong background in designing and implementing processes that deliver measurable operational improvements across regional or global operations.
  • Hands-on experience working with product teams to integrate wholesale solutions into market-ready propositions.
  • Active participation in key industry forums (GSMA etc), with a track record of influencing or driving innovation within the telecommunications or connectivity sectors.
  • Experience working with the key industry players & vendors for MNOs and IoT sector
  • Experience in driving automation and operational transformation to improve efficiency and scalability in commercial processes.

Skillset

  • Ability to conceptualize and articulate a clear and actionable strategy for wholesale connectivity solutions. Understanding IoT market and technologies, roaming, GSMA guidelines is a plus
  • Exceptional skills in engaging with and aligning internal and external stakeholders across various functions and geographies.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess market trends, identify opportunities, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Proficiency in managing cross-functional projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with strategic goals.
  • Familiarity with connectivity technologies, industry standards, and trends in telecommunications, including automation tools and platforms.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present complex ideas and gain buy-in from diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity, adapt to changing environments, and foster innovative solutions.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment including experience working with remote teams
  • Sound judgment and decision-making skills, with an ability to work under tight deadlines in a pressurized environment
  • This role will be based in Cubic’s Dublin HQ, but some overseas travel may be required as part of this role.
