We're VOID Interactive, the kick-ass team behind the best-selling FPS game, Ready or Not. We're made up of some seriously talented individuals who love games and creating awesome content together. We're currently looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic UI/UX Designer to join us remotely and help take us to the next level.  Our goal is strong: to establish Ready or Not as the quintessential FPS of our time.

Role Overview: 

As a UI/UX Designer, you’ll play a critical role in crafting elegant, functional, and accessible interfaces that enhance gameplay and support player needs. You will collaborate closely with gameplay designers, engineers, artists, and other stakeholders to design and deliver engaging user experiences from concept to final implementation. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Design, prototype, and iterate intuitive UI/UX solutions that enhance gameplay and support a wide variety of player needs across PC and console. 
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, and art, to ensure high-quality implementation of UI/UX elements. 
  • Solve complex user experience challenges with a player-first mindset. 
  • Conduct user research, usability testing, and feedback analysis to inform design decisions. 
  • Maintain and evolve UI/UX documentation and design systems. 

Essential Requirements: 

  • Participated in the development of a successfully shipped game title.
  • 2-3 years of experience as a UI/UX Designer in the gaming industry. 
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and a strong portfolio showcasing experience in design for games. 
  • Demonstrated understanding of player-first design principles, accessibility-by-design, and gameplay-supportive interfaces. 
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively and communicate clearly with multidisciplinary teams. 
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma and/or Adobe Creative Suite. 

 

Bonus Skills: 

  • Experience working in Unreal Engine. 
  • Familiarity or interest in working directly in-engine or with scripting tools. 
  • Interest or background in visual design and aesthetics. 
  • Experience with first-person shooter (FPS) games. 
  • Demonstrated ability to lead medium-to-high complexity features from concept through to implementation.

For Irish residents, this role is offered as a full-time employee position. For applicants based outside of Ireland, the role will be offered on a contractor basis. Salary is
determined by the location of the applicant, market rates, and relevant experience.
