This is an exciting new role for a recently qualified, part qualified Accountant looking to start or continue a career in VAT compliance and Accounting.
The Candidate will report directly into the EMEA Tax Director and join a dynamic Tax Team in Dublin working a Hybrid model and in Office 2/3 days a week.
HOW YOU'LL SPEND YOUR TIME HERE:
- Prepare periodic VAT returns and other indirect Tax filings for multiple jurisdictions in the EMEA region.
- Ensure Tax Accounting is performed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Collaborating with internal teams and stakeholders to address VAT compliance queries.
- Analyse GL entries and VAT treatment of invoices to determine claimable vs. non-claimable VAT.
- Liaise with external consultants and internal teams to manage local and foreign VAT reclaims.
- Assist in month-end closings and maintain VAT registers for AP and AR.
- Preparation of monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations
- Supporting role for VAT audits manged by the Tax Team
WE'D LOVE TO TALK TO YOU IF YOU HAVE MANY OF THE FOLLOWING:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Tax, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- Recently/Part Qualified ACCA/ACA
- Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support decision making.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Tax function with EMEA VAT experience preferred.
- Excellent time management skills with strong attention to date driven deliverables.
- An understanding of European VAT regulations would be beneficial.
- Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (Net Suite preferred).
- Fluent in English; additional European languages are a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proactive, hands-on attitude with a willingness to dive in and get things done.
- Experience using NetSuite, Coupa, SharePoint, Workday and Concur preferred.
