UK&I SMB Customer Sales Director

The successful Sales Director will manage a team of Account Executives focused on providing value to our existing SMB customers across the UK&I with a focus on cross-selling and up-selling Auth0 and Okta to our current customer base across the UK and Ireland. This is a role focused on existing customers, not new business so you need to display a passion for long term customer relationships for mutual value and benefit.

What you’ll be doing

  • Own the UK&I customer base, ensure they stay as long term Okta customers by increasing the value they get from their investment.
  • A core part of the EMEA SMB GTM leadership team day to day helping growth the overall SMB segment.
  • Attract, recruit, hire, mentor and promote the UK&I Customer Base Account Executive sales team. We have a preference for internal promotion, so this is something you will strive for.
  • Build a winning culture through leading by example, setting expectations, providing coaching and mentorship and holding teams accountable.  Winning culture is important, not just high performance.
  • Accurately forecast monthly and hold each team member accountable for doing the same
  • Effectively develop, design, build, and execute all aspects of the UK&I SMB Customer Base business plan
  • Put into place sales structure, processes, and strategic resource plans that will capture key opportunities for growth across our customer base
  • Collaborate with other leaders across Sales, Customer Success, Renewals, Compliance, Demand Generation, Marketing etc to maximise the opportunity for growth balanced with customer experience.  This role is not directly accountable for churn, renewals or customer success, but their success is yours so a collaborative nature is key.
  • Travel as necessary to build and cultivate customer relationships.

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • 3+ years’ experience building and running customer focused sales teams in a SaaS environment so you have probably been in base management or customer success with a growth focus.
  • You are data driven with a deep understanding of the metrics you need to measure,  specifically for existing customer growth.
  • History of consistently meeting/exceeding targets and objectives personally and as a leader
  • We are still building our Dublin hub and culture, you will be a core part of that.  Culture and the shadow you cast as a leader are important to us, it's not just words. We are not a full office based team, but we do like to see each other a couple of times a week for all the obvious reasons of being in person,, so you need to be ok with that.
  • Proven ability to hire and retain a high performing sales team with humility and confidence.
