About the team and the role:

The Global Seller Development Account Manager plays a pivotal role in supporting & scaling UK SMB strategic sellers in commercial partnerships by supporting a targeted portfolio of businesses.

The aim of this role is to partner with sellers to scale their business through increasing GMV and ads revenue while protecting customer satisfaction on platform. This will be achieved through inventory optimisation, improving seller and retail standards and unlocking trading opportunities.

The account manager will be responsible for relationship building, understanding and implementing opportunities for business growth, key customer management, strong eBay product and process knowledge.

What you will accomplish:

  • Lead and develop the operational and commercial relationship with allocated sellers in line with business strategy
  • Interpret seller needs by understanding the motivations and challenges they experience, analyze market trends, and leverage buyer insights to build compelling value propositions that will create growth for your sellers 
  • Educate and influence sellers on adopting eBay’s suite of marketing tools and advertising products
  • Proactively identify solutions to possible obstacles and discuss them with your sellers on an ongoing basis to ensure results are being achieved
  • Provide key insights as part of regular business reviews and through a regular reporting cadence. You will be reporting and communicating data insights and key information on your categories and sellers weekly.

What you will bring:

  • Strong problem-solving skills to proactively find solutions to challenges sellers face. Understand their needs, analyze market trends, and develop insights that encourage growth.
  • You will cultivate and maintain strong connections with strategic sellers in your portfolio. Excel in stakeholder management to ensure shared growth and success.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively encourage sellers to adopt eBay's marketing and promotional tools. Guide them in demonstrating marketing campaigns and crafting compelling value propositions. Fluency in English is needed.
  • Exceptional time management and project management skills to keep projects on track while maintaining keen attention to detail. Requires 2 years of commercial experience.
  • Strong business skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with business strategies. Be prepared for occasional business travel.
  • A consistent track record of achieving and surpassing targets, and have a keen ability to identify and capitalize on market opportunities to drive revenue growth.
