Corporate function provides a wide range of services to the organization such as finance, internal audit, communications, security and human resources. Treasury sits within the Finance area. The Dublin Treasury Operations Centre consist of various multi-regional functions including EMEA and Americas Treasury, Cash Management, Global Bank Administration, FX and Liquidity Risk Management, Capital Planning, Strategy & Innovation and several other areas including Global Risk & Compliance.

About the role

What you need to know and achieve:

  • Monitor daily cash positioning, perform payment execution, forecasting, variance analysis and reconciliation for AIG entities in the respective region, ensuring adequate liquidity is available daily to meet the business wide needs
  • Optimization of cash pooling processes and yield on short term cash available for investment through proactive review of existing target balances/thresholds based on changing financial environments. Look to challenge the existing processes to find improvement and efficiencies in line with Treasury guidelines 
  • Demonstrate leadership and subject matter expertise in relation to strategic treasury planning/decision making related to all of Treasury activities. Be able to make correct informed decision based on a detailed understanding of the individual processes and components
  • Assist Treasury management with requests queries received from Senior Management/business units, to be completed in an efficient and highly professional manner.
  • Distribute information or reporting to various internal teams/senior management team within AIG when needed and address any follow up queries on a timely basis.
  • Assist with the improvement of existing reporting, adjusting content or improve inaccuracies based on ever changing environments
  • Pro-actively seek to challenge the status quo on the Treasury team and look to improve/standardize processes and service standards and to implement best practice cash management procedures that reflects the needs of Treasury
  • Foster an environment that encourages celebrating accomplishment or failing together driven by individuals taking responsibility for tasks big and small
  • Assist with the management of the AIG Intercompany Loan process ensuring all activities are completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Partner with Global AIG Treasury counterparts to ensure all cross-region activity is managed effectively and efficiently whilst striving to create global standards. Work with the various stakeholders to improve processes or close knowledge gaps
  • Challenge Treasury operations process where we provide limited value add with a view to changing/improving the delivery of same
  • Manage relationship with global banking partners ensuring all issues are addressed or escalated as appropriate
  • Look to develop and/or lead various Treasury projects through collaboration across a variety of functions including Finance, IT, Global Treasury etc. 
  • Ensure all Audit, SOX and ORM related activities and duties are carried out in line with Treasury’s Risk and Compliance requirements
  • Ensure adherence to all AIG Treasury policies and controls
  • Ensure procedure documentation, Standard Operating Procedures, and Business Continuity Plan (BCP) are proactively maintained and kept up to date
  • Ensure proper segregation of duties in accordance with policies and procedures
  • Escalate issues as necessary and contribute to addressing service issues with internal and external customers, banks and counterparties
  • Partner with other areas of Treasury and the business to deliver best-in-class Treasury services

What we’re looking for:

  • Extensive experience in a Corporate Treasury or Cash Management environment
  • Prior experience with Treasury Management systems or electronic banking systems
  • Prior cash management experience, performing target balancing, monitoring of bank accounts, generating cash forecasts and cash position reports
  • Experience using Kyriba an advantage
  • BA degree in Accounting, Finance or a Business related is preferred
  • Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) a plus
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills (both verbal and written)
  • Team supervisor or people management experience is a plus, or a desire to move in that direction
  • Proficient in Microsoft office specifically Excel and Word
  • English fluency is required
  • Strong analytical skills and be able to work independently and with a team
