Reporting to the Quality Manager and supporting the EHS Manager to maintain integrity of the training system for the following core reasons:
Objectivity:
- Production Managers are naturally driven by throughput and deadlines. Reporting to Quality ensures that "speed" never overrides "competency."
Compliance Alignment:
- Quality departments own the ISO standards. Since training records are a core pillar of ISO compliance, it creates a seamless audit trail.
The "Safety-First" Buffer:
- Switchgear involves high-voltage testing. Having the Training Coordinator under Quality reinforces a culture where a machine is only operated when the user is verified as safe and capable, not just because a shift is behind schedule.
The Training Coordinator will bridge the gap between recruitment, production-ready excellence and Health & Safety requirements
- General Operator Tasking:
- Standardising assembly and wiring tasks.
- Apprenticeship Program:
- Managing the rotation and educational requirements for electrical apprentices.
- Testing & Compliance:
- Ensuring test engineers are certified to operate specialised equipment and are competent in all tasks required during Testing, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Factory Witness Testing (FWT)..
- Product Knowledge & Safety:
- Driving deep understanding of switchgear components and Arc Flash safety.
- Production Machinery:
- Training on Production machinery such as busbar benders and any future machinery brought into the company to enhance the Production process.
- Health & Safety:
- Comply with the requirements of ISO45001.

- Maintain a live database of staff competencies.
