JOB DESCRIPTION

Our Off-Trade team seeks a passionate and motivated Business Developer to grow distribution and visibility of the Richmond brand portfolio within an existing account base, and identify and maximise new business opportunities. They will be responsible for the effective implementation of both long-term (ensuring the right range is on the right shelf at the right price) and short-term (acquiring additional space through negotiating promotional displays and secondary equipment placements and coolers) sales drivers across our full brand portfolio.

The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of the Off-Trade environment, have a strong customer focus, the ability to build rapport with account decision-makers, and a 'can-do' attitude. The ability to work well in a fast-paced environment is a must. Candidates must be eligible to drive throughout Ireland and have a full clean drivers’ licence. The role involves extensive travel.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Complete account visits as per daily Journey Plan and ensure high levels of call compliance across your total account base.
  • Ensure distribution of Richmond brands within all accounts.
  • Introduce new products to accounts.
  • Ensure that you have the right range on the right shelf at the right price for our key brands across your region.
  • Maximise facings within all key areas instore.
  • Complete DRIVE and brand audits in 100% of calls.
  • Process transfer orders for our Wholesaler Partners.
  • Build strong trading relationships within all accounts.
  • Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of your territory.
  • Manage, expand and develop the customer call file across the region.
  • Report any competitor activity deemed relevant.
  • Build displays for all brands during key trading periods.
  • Place Point of Sale material in appropriate accounts and manage coolers and stands.
  • Achieve pre-determined quarterly objectives.
  • Maintain high standards of appearance, behaviour and discipline.
  • Engage in clear and respectful communication with colleagues and customers.
  • Any other duties and responsibilities which management deem appropriate from time to time.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Strong planning and organisation skills
  • Great communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong customer and teamwork focus with the ability to build relationships
  • Good negotiation and sales skills
  • Ability to work to your own initiative and be a self-starter
  • Experience of working within an FMCG environment is desirable
  • Experience of working in Field sales is desirable
  • Full, clean driving licence and eligibility to drive in the Ireland of Ireland is essential
