We are seeking a highly skilled Test Manager to lead our testing team in Dublin. This hybrid role will require you to manage both manual and automated testing processes to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing testing strategies, managing a team of test engineers, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
Required Skills:
- Proven experience in test management or a similar leadership role within software testing
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
- Experience in both manual and automated testing environments
- Proficiency in test management software (e.g., Quality Centre, JIRA, TestRail)
- Excellent problem-solving and leadership skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment, managing tasks and responsibilities both remotely and on-site
Key responsibilities & duties include:
- Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies and plans to ensure the quality and functionality of software applications
- Lead, mentor and manage a team of test engineers, including setting objectives, conducting performance reviews, and facilitating professional development
- Coordinate with project managers, developers and other stakeholders to ensure testing aligns with software development phases and business objectives
- Oversee the creation, maintenance and execution of both manual and automated test cases
- Monitor testing processes and provide detailed reports on test progress, results, and issues
- Manage the testing environment and ensure the availability of test data and resources
- Drive continuous improvement in testing practices by implementing the latest testing tools and methodologies
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
- Handle risk management and mitigation in the testing phase
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies
- Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
- Knowledge of performance and/or security testing
- Certifications such as ISTQB Advanced Test Manager or similar
- Background in software development or project management
