Your Impact
We’re looking for a talented Test Engineer to join our Research & Development team. In this role, you will:
  • Test Acre Access Control, Video and Intruder product releases (PC software, firmware, hardware, and documentation) against defined test plans.
  • Build and maintain test environments to support product testing across our portfolio.
  • Drive product quality by identifying, documenting, and verifying issues and supporting resolution.
What You’ll Do
In addition to the above, your key responsibilities will include:
  • Set up and wire test systems, hardware, and firmware environments.
  • Test products to statutory and regulatory standards.
  • Generate test reports and log issues.
  • Verify and troubleshoot customer-reported problems (including occasional site visits).
  • Collaborate with design engineers and test leaders to define test criteria.
  • Work within a cross-functional Agile team.
  • Implement automated testing where possible.
What You’ll Bring
To succeed in this role, you’ll need:
  • Degree-level qualification in Electronics, Computer Science, or equivalent.
  • Strong practical knowledge of electronics, PC software, and networking.
  • Experience in an R&D test environment.
  • Industry background in Security and Access Control.
  • Attention to detail and thoroughness in testing complex products.
Advantageous skills include:
  • Knowledge of R&D test methodologies and tools.
  • Familiarity with Agile principles and practices.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Experience working with different cultures.
  • Competence in IT infrastructure and networking.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Clear documentation and technical investigation skills.
