Your Impact
We’re looking for a talented Test Engineer to join our Research & Development team. In this role, you will:
- Test Acre Access Control, Video and Intruder product releases (PC software, firmware, hardware, and documentation) against defined test plans.
- Build and maintain test environments to support product testing across our portfolio.
- Drive product quality by identifying, documenting, and verifying issues and supporting resolution.
In addition to the above, your key responsibilities will include:
- Set up and wire test systems, hardware, and firmware environments.
- Test products to statutory and regulatory standards.
- Generate test reports and log issues.
- Verify and troubleshoot customer-reported problems (including occasional site visits).
- Collaborate with design engineers and test leaders to define test criteria.
- Work within a cross-functional Agile team.
- Implement automated testing where possible.
To succeed in this role, you’ll need:
- Degree-level qualification in Electronics, Computer Science, or equivalent.
- Strong practical knowledge of electronics, PC software, and networking.
- Experience in an R&D test environment.
- Industry background in Security and Access Control.
- Attention to detail and thoroughness in testing complex products.
- Knowledge of R&D test methodologies and tools.
- Familiarity with Agile principles and practices.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Experience working with different cultures.
- Competence in IT infrastructure and networking.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Clear documentation and technical investigation skills.
