About the team

To further our mission, we are seeking a Technical Recruiting Manager to help lead and grow a team of Technical Recruiters at Stripe. This role will manage a full-cycle recruiting team, focusing on their development and outstanding performance in achieving hiring goals. You will spearhead strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality and productivity of Stripe’s recruiting organization while working closely with our tech leadership.

What you’ll do

In this position, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, influencing the future of the Technical Recruiting team, overseeing the development and direct management of a group of recruiters, leading cross-functional projects, and handling reporting and performance management. We are looking for someone who is a proactive builder and excels in a learning-oriented environment—someone who is eager to explore new ideas, experiment with different approaches, and is open to feedback on improving our processes. You will collaborate closely with recruiting leaders to implement key programs and initiatives that strengthen Stripe’s efforts to attract, recruit, and retain a diverse range of talent.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of full-cycle Technical recruiters to ensure exceptional performance, enhance their recruiting skills, and support their professional growth.
  • Collaborate closely with senior leaders throughout the organization to comprehend their hiring needs and develop recruiting strategies to meet headcount targets.
  • Create and implement a clear diversity strategy in partnership with cross-functional teams.
  • Work collaboratively with departments such as Finance, People Operations, Benefits, Onboarding, and Legal to provide a high-quality and comprehensive candidate experience.
  • Regularly cultivate a strong pipeline of high-quality candidates by driving initiatives in branding, events, and employee referrals.
  • Provide timely reporting of key metrics and insights to inform decision-making and improve processes.
  • Continue to actively manage open requisitions as needed.
Who you are

We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

Minimum requirements
  • 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience
  • Proven ability to source and close candidates for positions ranging from entry-level to senior management.
  • Experience partnering with hiring teams throughout the recruiting process, acting as an effective hiring partner and trusted advisor.
  • Passionate about mentoring early-career recruiters and providing them with coaching and guidance; you are invigorated by the chance to help your direct reports reach their full potential.
  • Capable of navigating a fast-paced environment and providing clarity to ambiguous situations for the team.
  • Experience successfully partnering across different geographies and timezones.
  • Strong drive to identify and engage top talent.
  • Excellent communication skills, enabling you to connect with individuals at all levels.
  • Exceptional teamwork abilities and proficiency in managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience excelling and prioritizing tasks in a dynamic and ever-changing environment.
  • Prior management experience is a plus but not required.
