We are seeking a Principal Product Manager to lead platform strategy and execution at Workvivo. This is a senior role focused on shaping the foundations of our extensible platform—APIs, webhooks, integrations, and developer tools—that power scalable, flexible employee experiences. You’ll lead discovery and problem definition across platform capabilities. By defining the architectural vision with engineering, and identify where AI-first thinking can enhance our extensibility, automation, and integration strategies. You’ll work cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders to create a platform that enables partners and developers to build on Workvivo with confidence. This is a high-impact role with strategic importance to our product evolution, supporting both first-party features and an expanding ecosystem of third-party integrations.

About the Team

The platform team is core to that vision, ensuring every feature, integration, and experience is powered by a solid and scalable foundation.

Responsibilities

  • Owning the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Workvivo’s platform capabilities, including APIs, webhooks, authentication, and extensibility frameworks

  • Leading product discovery and problem definition in collaboration with internal teams, enterprise customers, and integration partners.

  • Embedding AI-first thinking into the platform roadmap enabling AI agents to interact with third-party systems, surfacing insights from platform usage, and automating routine configuration workflows.

  • Partnering with engineering leadership to define scalable platform architecture and ensure reliability, security, and performance.

  • Developing a deep understanding of our developer users and driving improvements to documentation, SDKs, tooling, and onboarding.

  • Collaborating cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Success, and Support to enable successful partner integrations and ecosystem growth.

  • Staying ahead of platform trends, developer ecosystems, and industry standards to shape long-term strategy.

What we’re looking for

  • Bring 8+ years of product management experience, including at least 3 years focused on platforms, APIs, or developer tools.

  • Demonstrate a track record of success in defining and scaling product platforms or extensibility frameworks at a SaaS company.

  • Apply deep expertise in platform architecture, integration patterns, authentication (OAuth, SAML), and developer lifecycle tooling.

  • Lead effective discovery and problem framing sessions with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Leverage AI to drive automation, personalization, and data intelligence across platform capabilities.

  • Think strategically and communicating effectively through strong written and verbal skills.

  • Navigate technical complexity, cross-functional ambiguity, and shifting business priorities with confidence.

  • Hold a strong academic background in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; an advanced degree is a plus.
