Technical Business Analyst | About You
As a Technical Business Analyst, you are responsible for translating marketing and business needs into clear, actionable technical requirements for data and analytics teams. You enjoy working with complex data ecosystems and have a strong understanding of how data moves through platforms, pipelines, and reporting environments. You communicate effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders, ensuring clarity and alignment. You thrive in discovery‑focused roles where you can map processes, define specifications, and support data science teams with well‑structured requirements. You are driven by building clarity, reducing ambiguity, and enabling accurate, data‑driven development.
Technical Business Analyst | Day-to-Day
- Gather and refine requirements from marketing stakeholders across campaigns, analytics, and performance measurement.
- Map data flows across analytics platforms, pipelines, and integrations to understand dependencies and system behaviors.
- Translate business needs into detailed technical specifications for data engineering and data science teams.
- Document current‑state and future‑state processes, identifying gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Support data science teams by clarifying inputs, outputs, assumptions, and data requirements for modeling.
- Facilitate discussions between business users and technical teams to ensure consistent understanding and expectations.
Technical Business Analyst | Skills & Experience
- 7+ years of experience as a Technical BA, Data BA, Analytics BA, or similar role supporting data‑driven projects.
- Strong understanding of data flows, data models, and analytics platforms across marketing, digital, or enterprise ecosystems.
- Proven ability to gather business requirements and convert them into clear, structured technical specifications.
- Experience working with marketing or digital analytics stakeholders (preferred, not required).
- Strong documentation skills, including process mapping, data dictionaries, and integration specifications.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills across cross‑functional teams.
