About the team and the role:
As the Team Leader for the UK Account Manager Team, you will lead a team focused on developing strong operational and commercial relationships with an assigned group of eBay sellers across various categories. Your primary objective will be to coach and guide the Category Advisors to drive growth for our sellers on eBay by identifying account optimization, scaling opportunities, and promotional activities. You will also support your team by staying ahead of market trends and providing insights into their respective industries to enhance seller performance and growth.

What you will accomplish:

  • Drive Team Performance: Lead your team to achieve or exceed targets on key business metrics, fostering a results-driven environment.
  • Deliver Team Coaching: Provide ongoing coaching and development to help the team support sellers grow & scale their business. 
  • Cultivate Team Development & Engagement: Build a cohesive, high-performing team through hiring, onboarding and continuous skill development while fostering an open and creative work environment.
  • Focus on Continuous Improvement: Drive a culture of continuous improvement by fostering creative curiosity, optimising processes and enhancing programmes to deliver innovative solutions and operational excellence.
  • Market Insight: Stay ahead of market dynamics and offer guidance on how your team can proactively support sellers in growing their businesses on eBay.
  • Strategic Reporting: Deliver weekly business performance reports, offering key insights to stakeholders, and continuously improve team processes.
  • Collaborative Leadership: Partner closely with cross-functional teams and business unit leaders, bringing fresh insights and growth opportunities to the leadership table.
  • Cross-functional Programs: Lead new programs and pilot initiatives designed to enhance seller engagement and drive growth.

What you will bring:

  • Customer-centric approach with a deep understanding of customer needs and focus on exceptional service
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills with experience leading a team, preferably of Account Managers or in a customer facing role
  • Data-driven decision maker with ability to analyze trends and metrics to inform strategy
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with influencing capabilities
  • Problem-solving attitude focused on continuous improvement and operational efficiency
  • Proven ability to manage complexity and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Technical proficiency in CRM & Sales tools, and strong working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
