System Engineer Digital Reporting 80 - 100% (f/m/d)

As a Senior System Engineer, you are contributing to the development of our Digital Reporting Platform (DRP).

The DRP is based on a modern third part party application suite called “Quadient Inspire” including features such as content management, document design, templating & preview, distribution, archiving, but also supports approaches for interactive report creation (Platform as a Service - PaaS) and modern digital reports.

Your tasks

• Integration of a multi-tiered reporting application using synchronous/synchronous integration patterns (REST, MQ, Events/Kafka, JPA/OM).

• End-to-end technical responsibility for the migration of an existing reporting system to the new strategic LGT platform.

• Implementation of quality attributes according to business expectations (non-functional requirements such as application security, scalability, auditability, and observability).

• Support in improving the automation of testing and operational processes.

• Fostering an open and knowledge-sharing team spirit.

• Ensuring technical quality according to LGT standards.

• Continuous support in optimizing DevOps environments.

• Support in developing optimal solutions within the framework of pragmatic and strategic goals.

• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and experience with legacy migration and reverse engineering projects.

• In-depth expertise in data analytics, data visualization, and related tools.

• Advanced knowledge of databases, query languages (SQL/MS SQL), and ETL processes.

• Experience with reporting technologies and platforms, such as Quadient Inspire.

• Proven software engineering skills in developing multi-tier applications with integration patterns (REST, MQ, Events/Kafka, JPA/OM).

• Understanding of architectural service patterns (Micro Services, BFF, 12-Factor), application security, and quality attributes (scalability, auditability, observability).

• Experience with job automation and workload scheduling (e.g., UC4/Automic), and programming languages like Python for testing and automation.

• Exposure to front-end technologies.

• Agile project experience, specifically with SCRUM and SAFe methodologies.

• Effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
