Why work at Nebius
Nebius is leading a new era in cloud computing to serve the global AI economy. We create the tools and resources our customers need to solve real-world challenges and transform industries, without massive infrastructure costs or the need to build large in-house AI/ML teams. Our employees work at the cutting edge of AI cloud infrastructure alongside some of the most experienced and innovative leaders and engineers in the field.

Where we work
Headquartered in Amsterdam and listed on Nasdaq, Nebius has a global footprint with R&D hubs across Europe, North America, and Israel. The team of over 800 employees includes more than 400 highly skilled engineers with deep expertise across hardware and software engineering, as well as an in-house AI R&D team.

The role

We’re looking for a system engineer (Go, C, C++, Linux) to join our Compute Node development team. The team builds services for managing virtual machines running on GPU servers, integrating with disk management, virtual networking and InfiniBand network systems. In addition to virtualization, we develop the Compute Managed Bare-Metal service, which provides users with dedicated GPU servers featuring virtual networking, disks and storage.

The team is also responsible for managing and enhancing the Virtual Machine Scheduler service in clusters that include thousands of servers and tens of thousands of GPUs, all interconnected by a high-performance network.

We expect you to have:

1. Linux and system-level understanding

  • Solid knowledge of internal OS architecture, performance considerations, process isolation and resource management.
  • Knowledge of POSIX, sysfs, system calls and file systems.
  • Familiarity with server architecture, PCIe devices, NICs and kernel drivers.

2. Hardware acceleration

  • Experience (or interest) in working with DPU, GPU and ARM architectures.

3. Go, C, C++ proficiency

  • Knowledge of at least one of these languages, ready to learn or work with the others as needed.
  • Strong grasp of concurrency, debugging and profiling techniques.
  • Familiarity with the NVIDIA DOCA Software Framework is a plus.

4. Containerization and orchestration

  • Experience with Docker, LXC, Kubernetes or similar solutions for development and deployment is highly valued.

5. Virtualization

  • QEMU/KVM familiarity is a plus for working with virtualized environments and related tooling.

We conduct coding interviews as part of the process.

What we offer

  • Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.
  • Opportunities for professional growth within Nebius.
  • Hybrid working arrangements.
  • A dynamic and collaborative work environment that values initiative and innovation.

We’re growing and expanding our products every day. If you’re up to the challenge and are excited about AI and ML as much as we are, join us!
