The Supplier Life Cycle Director will establish and maintain global master data governance for sourcing and procurement, optimize data quality, and lead teams in implementing enhancements across S2P processes.
TASKS:
- Define and communicate a clear vision and strategy for enterprise master data governance within the S2P value chain.
- Establish and maintain a robust global framework for S2P master data governance, ensuring consistency and adherence to standards across all business units and regions.
- Define and govern applicable reporting and analytics to measure the efficacy and efficiency of master data management and governance processes (makes proposals for data quality targets and defines, implements, and monitors data quality metrics)
- Standardization of S2P master data elements and definitions, bringing in deep expertise and a thorough understanding of the interaction between different data domains (e.g., vendor, material, finance) within the S2P processes.
- Conduct comprehensive data analysis to identify data quality issues, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improvement, driving initiatives to cleanse, harmonize, and enrich master data.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to implement data governance enhancements that drive data quality, reduce errors, and improve the overall effectiveness of S2P processes.
- Business partner to Global Category leaders, Regional Procurement leaders, and Senior business leaders regarding master data policies, standards, and their impact on S2P operations.
- Establish and maintain a robust framework for S2P master data governance, including data ownership, roles, responsibilities, and accountability, ensuring consistency and adherence to standards across all business units and regions.
- Global escalation owner for S2P master data issues and data governance exceptions.
- Own and drive KPIs for S2P master data health monitoring and performance.
- Business owner for master data management tools and technology strategy, driving digitalization and automation of data governance processes.
- Monitor industry trends and utilize market intelligence for best practices and technology advancements in master data management, owning and driving business cases for process and organization optimization; act as a change leader for the S2P community.
- Represent the S2P function on a Global level to ensure data governance adherence and compliance, balancing business priorities across different functions.
- Monitor post-implementation performance of data governance initiatives and recommend enhancements to drive efficiency, compliance, and value creation.
- Design a technology roadmap for master data management within S2P: Work with Information Technology Services in designing the technology roadmap for master data solutions and provide expert business process input to support seamless implementation and ongoing optimization.
- Provide input on S/4 HANA and other S2P systems regarding master data design, testing, and validation to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
- Support data migration and system integration efforts, ensuring accurate and timely transfer of S2P master data.
- Create targeted training programs and materials to build capability and drive user adoption of master data governance processes and technology solutions.
- Manage a Global, lean, high-performing team across S2P Master Data Governance.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 10+ years of experience in Master Data Management, with a significant exposure to Procurement/S2P (Source-to-Pay)
- processes.
- Good knowledge of Source-to-Pay (S2P) processes and best practices, with a strong emphasis on data dependencies and
- optimization.
- expertise in Master Data Management (MDM) principles, data governance frameworks, and data quality management.
- Understanding of data integration and interoperability between S2P systems and related enterprise applications (e.g., ERP,).
- Knowledge of data compliance and regulatory requirements related to S2P data (e.g., GDPR, data security standards).
- Understanding of data analytics and reporting tools for measuring and improving S2P data quality and performance.
- Expertise in data migration and system integration strategies, particularly in the context of S/4HANA or other large-scale ERP
- implementations.
- Knowledge of data modeling and data architecture principles relevant to S2P master data.
- Understanding of how data governance impacts and supports procurement, supply chain, and financial operations.
- Knowledge of quality & regulatory interfaces related to master data.
- Knowledge of accounts payable processes and how master data relates to them - Invoice processing, payment exception
- management & payment execution
- Functional Knowledge of SAP Procurement systems
- SAP S/4 HANA procurement module awareness is highly desirable.
- Ability to work with data analytics and reporting tools
