Strategy AssociateLocation: UK Remote (or potentially Europe-remote)At Velsera, the Strategy Associate will be a key player in advancing our mission to transform healthcare through precision medicine and data-driven insights. Reporting directly to the Chief Strategy Officer, you will work on the highest-priority strategic initiatives, with a focus on market and segment analysis, setting the company strategy and evaluating key M&A opportunities. This role combines high-level strategic thinking with hands-on analysis and execution, requiring an individual who is equally comfortable with conceptual problem-solving and operational detail.The ideal candidate will have a mix of business acumen and analytical rigor as well as the ability to adapt in a fast-paced, evolving environment. If you are energized by solving complex challenges and shaping strategies that have a meaningful impact on the trajectory of healthcare innovation and delivery, this is the role for you.What will you do?As a Strategy Associate, you will:
- Own and Conduct Strategic Analyses:
Evaluate market and segment attractiveness, lead M&A due diligences, and help assess partnership opportunities, with a primary focus on the U.S. and European markets.
- Monitor and Report on Key Market Trends:
Create processes for, and analyze and report, on key industry trends, market developments, customer unmet needs, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and risks for Velsera.
- Collaborate with Internal and External Stakeholders:
Work closely with internal teams (e.g., medical, science, sales, product, and customer success) and external stakeholders (partners, customers, etc.) to gather, distribute and align on key insights and decisions.
- Refine Velsera’s Strategy:
Help drive adjustments to Velsera’s overarching strategy and go-to-market approaches based on insights from ongoing assessments and analyses.
- Create Strategic Presentations:
Develop compelling, high-quality presentations that communicate Velsera’s strategy and value to internal and external stakeholders.
- Support Strategic Initiatives and Special Projects:
Contribute to the execution of high-priority initiatives and assist in solving complex business challenges that align with Velsera’s growth objectives.
- Develop Business Cases:
Build robust financial and strategic business cases to support investment decisions, partnership evaluations, and other key initiatives.
- Act as a Strategic Thought Partner:
Provide recommendations and insights to senior leadership, challenging assumptions, and offering alternative approaches when appropriate.What do you bring to the table?
- Proven experience (2–5 years) in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, investment banking, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with experience in conducting market assessments, financial modeling, and strategic analysis.
- Excellent project-management skills and ability to seamlessly switch between pragmatic (“80/20”) solutions and deep, accurate analyses.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to synthesize complex insights into clear, actionable presentations.
- Collaborative mindset with a proven ability to work cross-functionally and influence decision-making across multiple stakeholders.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and execute tactically, delivering results on complex, multi-faceted projects.
Preferred Qualifications • MBA or advanced degree in business, life sciences, or a related field. • Knowledge of ‘omics, precision medicine and healthcare markets. • Experience in M&A processes or partnership evaluations.Our Core Values
