A Day in the Life

The Pelvic Health Strategic Territory Manager will lead the development and execution of the commercial and account strategy across Ireland and Northern Ireland. The role will focus on protecting and expanding existing business, developing priority accounts, increasing market share and improving appropriate patient access to InterStim™, Medtronic’s Sacral Neuromodulation portfolio, which uses mild electrical stimulation of the sacral nerves to help manage bladder and bowel control conditions.

Using customer, market, competitor and patient pathway insights, the Strategic Territory Manager will identify regional growth opportunities, barriers to adoption and areas where pelvic health services can be developed or improved. They will build effective relationships with senior clinical, operational, procurement and management stakeholders to support business cases, service transformation initiatives and sustainable pathway change.

This is a remote, field-based role involving regular travel across Ireland and Northern Ireland, with key accounts/hospitals including Dublin, Cork and Altnagelvin.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Own the development and execution of territory and strategic account plans across Ireland and Northern Ireland to deliver sustainable sales growth, increase market share and improve patient access
  • Analyse market, customer, competitor and pathway insights to identify priority accounts, unmet needs and regional growth opportunities
  • Lead quarterly business planning, opportunity management and forecasting to deliver agreed revenue objectives and ensure effective allocation of time and resources
  • Partner with the Business Development Manager, Marketing Manager and wider Pelvic Health organisation to design and implement regional market development, referral pathway and service transformation initiatives
  • Build and influence relationships with senior clinical, operational, procurement, management and commissioning stakeholders to support business cases, overcome adoption barriers and drive long-term service change
  • Develop clinical capability and advocacy within key accounts by supporting customer education and providing procedural support during Sacral Neuromodulation, a therapy that uses electrical stimulation of the sacral nerves to improve bladder and bowel control
  • Ensure effective territory execution through inventory management, cross-functional coordination and participation in regional educational events, congresses and professional networks

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Experience in medical device, healthcare or surgical sales
  • Proven ability to build relationships with a range of clinical, commercial and operational stakeholders
  • Strong account management, planning and commercial skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and influence change
  • Confident presentation, communication and customer training skills
  • Full driving licence and willingness to travel regularly across Ireland and Northern Ireland
