Overview of Position:

Provides proper movement of supplies, responsible for proper delivery of all supplies and equipment to various departments. Responsible for maintaining par levels for all supply carts, assists in management of inventory.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
1.    Uses a handheld screening device and computer.
2.    Move supplies throughout organization.
3.    Delivers supplies and equipment.
4.    Unpacks and shelves items.
5.    Maintains privacy and confidentiality at all times.
6.    Participates in mandatory in-service meetings (e.g. TB testing, safety, HIPAA)
7.    Speaks to patients and co-workers in a respectful manner.

QUALIFICATIONS
1.    High school diploma or equivalent required.  
2.    Good math and verbal skills.  
3.    Ability to assess situation needs and problem solve.
4.    Ability to read and write in English.
5.    Ability to use critical thinking and problem solving skills.

• Exits patient/customer encounters courteously, asking if there are additional needs that can be addressed.
3.    Promotes Patient and Employee Safety 
• Demonstrates safe Patient Handling (i.e. transfers, transport, care administration, nutrition, medication, etc.) 
• Demonstrates safe Materials Handling (i.e. appropriate use and disposal of chemicals, infectious wastes, etc.)
• Demonstrates appropriate knowledge of Infectious Disease precautions and use of proper protective equipment
• Demonstrates Slips/Trips and Falls Awareness.
• Actively contributes to maintaining a safe, clean and quiet environment.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. 

1.    Ability to sit, stand, push, pull, bend and walk for extended periods of time.  
2.    Storeroom Associate generally stand/walks 7.5 hours per day and sits .5 hours per day.  
3.    Position requires bending, stooping and reaching to restock supply carts.  
4.    Lifting is required with packages weighing as much as 50 lbs. or more.
