What does this role entail?

We are seeking a talented and motivated Staff Engineer to join our dynamic team working on fighting financial crime through a transaction monitoring solution. Requirements
You should be able to
- Design, build, and maintain complex applications that scale with our growing customer base.
- Lead technical architecture discussions, ensuring the platform is performant, maintainable, and secure.
- Raise the bar for technical excellence through code, documentation, and reviews
- Leverage cutting edge AI tools to enhance the engineering workflow
- Define and drive best practices in testing, observability, and system reliability.
- Champion a culture of technical excellence and innovation, influencing engineering direction across multiple teams or domains.
- Coach and mentor engineers in their implementations, fostering technical growth and collaboration.
Key Expectations
- 8+ years of professional hands-on software development experience
- Strong experience in Python Development, including hands on coding experience
- Proven track record in leading building SaaS products
- Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and AWS Services (Lambda, Redshift, DynamoDB, Elastic search, SNS, SQS, ..)
- Experience of the DevOps lifecycle including the CI/CD practices
- Full stack - design, build, test, deliver and support
- Experience with estimating delivery times and splitting functional requirements into smaller technical deliverables
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of data engineering tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, Spark)
- Familiarity with front-end frameworks (e.g., React)
