The Opportunity

We are looking for a staff accountant to join our Condo team in Guelph! This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys accounting while interacting with our clients on a regular basis.

About the Gig: What Does the Condo Team Do?

All condominium corporations in Ontario are required to have an audit completed. As part of the RLB Condo Team you will work closely with our clients to prepare their annual audits. This position will allow you to see the audit process from start to finish, from planning right up to the presentation of financial statements at our clients Annual General Meetings.

Team members who work on the Condo team are provided with the opportunity to become a specialist in their area while working in a rapidly growing accounting niche. Additionally, RLB is a member of the Canadian Condominium Institute, Grand River Chapter, which provides networking, education, and business development opportunities.

This is a permanent, full-time position based out of our Guelph office with the option of a hybrid work arrangement. Paid overtime will be required during busy season which allows the firm to take Fridays off in July and August!

About You

  • This is an ideal position for someone with an accounting diploma or bookkeeping experience. Public accounting experience is an asset, but not a requirement.
  • Comfortable working with Microsoft Office products. Training in firm-specific software (Caseware/Caseview and TaxPrep) will be provided.
  • Ability to problem-solve, think critically, adapt and multi-task
  • Ability to work both independently and as a part of a team
  • Strong communication, organizational and time management skills
