This is a high-impact opportunity to help streamline and accelerate critical contracting and procurement processes that power Moderna’s global operations. As a Senior Specialist in the Source to Contract team, you will act as a vital link between internal stakeholders and external partners, ensuring seamless contract execution while supporting broader transformation initiatives. Working cross-functionally with Procurement, FP&A, and Legal, your contributions will directly improve process visibility, compliance, and speed. You will be instrumental in applying digital tools to enhance workflows and data accessibility — with the opportunity to get closer to the integration of Generative AI into contract lifecycle management systems. This is an individual contributor position, ideal for a detail-oriented, proactive professional looking to grow their influence within a dynamic, mission-driven environment.

Here’s What You’ll Do:

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Supporting daily incoming contract requests, conducting quality reviews, managing signatures, and initiating purchase requisitions

  • Monitoring and ensuring end-to-end tracking of contracts from request to execution in coordination with FP&A, Procurement, and Contract Management

  • Coordinating assignment of contracts across internal teams to ensure optimal workload distribution

  • Supporting Purchase Requisition and Purchase Order reconciliations, identifying and resolving operational issues

Your responsibilities will also include:

  • Enhancing contract lifecycle stages by removing friction points and enabling efficient collaboration

  • Conducting completeness checks in alignment with company-approved policies using digital tools

  • Assisting with vendor onboarding processes and maintaining accurate reports on contract status and metrics

  • Collaborating with Category Management to ensure that sourcing strategies and negotiated content are reflected in contracts

  • Reviewing, editing, and contributing to the development of commercial contracts, including consulting and vendor agreements

  • Training stakeholders and creating resources to enhance contract compliance and adoption

  • Driving continuous improvement in contracting processes with a focus on digital and AI-enhanced solutions

The key Moderna Mindsets you’ll need to succeed in the role:

  • “We remove viscosity to encourage collective action.”
In this role, you'll play a central part in removing operational bottlenecks that hinder contract flow and execution. Your ability to reduce friction across contract touchpoints will directly enhance speed and impact across global operations.

  • “We digitize everywhere possible using the power of code to maximize our impact on patients.”
Your focus on process enhancement and data accuracy will intersect with Moderna’s commitment to digital innovation — with growing opportunities to integrate automation and AI tools in contract management and decision-making systems.

Here’s What You’ll Need (Basic Qualifications):

  • Bachelor’s degree required; additional certifications (e.g., Paralegal or Contract Management) are a plus

  • 1+ years of relevant experience in contract review, drafting, or management.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

  • Familiarity with CLM systems (e.g., Agiloft), MS Office, and collaboration tools. Knowledge of legal and commercial terms and concepts and familiarity with basic business contracts

  • Familiarity of Formal and informal competitive bidding principles and processes and legal requirements

  • This role is expected to be in office 70% of the time with flexibility to work from home up to 30%

Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table (Preferred Qualifications):

  • Experience managing contracts, including tracking documents through the contracting lifecycle, contract compliance items, and keeping organized records

  • Able to work independently and as part of a high functioning team in a fast-paced environment

  • Sound reasoning skills, excellent problem-solving skills, and ethical judgment within broadly defined practices and policies

  • Organizational skills and high level of attention to detail

  • Experience working at a life sciences or medical company preferred but not required.
