Job Description
Version 1 has a strong capabilities program which focuses on the careers of our team. As a Solution Architect, you will be expected to play a leading role in this capability and driving strategy.. In this role, you will
- Lead and oversee the architectural design of Java and PL/SQL based modernization projects, including cloud migration, microservices adoption, and legacy system transformation.
- Work closely with clients to assess their current infrastructure, application portfolios, and pain points to define strategic modernization plans.
- Develop and document solution architectures, providing clear roadmaps for the migration of legacy systems to new, scalable platforms.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure designs are implemented with best practices in coding, security, and performance.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to both internal and client teams on best practices in modern application architecture, Java technologies, and system integration.
- Guide and participate in proof-of-concept (PoC) development, helping clients visualize the future state of their applications.
- Facilitate workshops, technical sessions, and presentations for clients to build consensus and ensure alignment on architectural decisions.
Qualifications
- 5+ years prior experience as a Solution Architect or Technical Architect
- Prior experience as a hands on Java developer
- Intimate knowledge of architectural patterns and best practice
- Application Modernisation experience
- Strong technical and communication skills
- Comfortable working with senior stakeholders
