About the team: Genesys Outbound is a cloud-based solution that allows companies to set up and run outbound campaigns with their contact lists. These campaigns can be automated or agent-assisted, and can include a variety of communication methods, such as calls, SMS, and email.
The Software Engineer will get to work with a team of developers and testers to develop and maintain several microservices that are hosted entirely in AWS. The developer will be working with backend code in Java, Node.js but will also work with front-end using Javascript technologies. This is a great opportunity to work with new technologies, in microservices architecture, on a very collaborative team!

Your key responsibilities:

Design and implement applications for the Outbound team in a Java or Node.js based microservices architecture using AWS technologies.
-
You will test your software using unit and mock test frameworks before deploying it.
-
Create and maintain services that are highly scalable, available, and reliable.
-
Deploy these services to production environments using a CI/CD pipeline.

Support services in production, perform root-cause analysis of problems, and participate in blameless post-mortems
-
Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation once every few weeks.

Be part of a fast-paced culture of continuous learning and grow rapidly.

Use various tools to troubleshoot issues with system stability and performance.
