Staff Software Development Engineer
About the Role
As a Staff Software Development Engineer at ADI, you will take on a technical leadership role with broad impact across the organization. You will define technical strategies for large projects, lead architectural decisions, and serve as a key technical advisor for significant initiatives. Your expertise will influence the direction and success of major software development efforts.
Key Responsibilities

  • Define technical strategy for large projects with organization-wide impact
  • Lead architecture decisions for complex software systems
  • Drive innovation and adoption of best practices across development teams
  • Mentor teams and influence technical direction beyond your immediate team
  • Solve complex technical challenges that span multiple domains
  • Guide cross-functional technical initiatives from concept to completion
  • Establish engineering standards and practices for software development
  • Represent technical perspectives in strategic planning discussions

Must Have Skills

  • Architecture: Advanced system architecture expertise across diverse technology domains
  • Technical Breadth: Deep technical knowledge across multiple software disciplines and frameworks
  • Leadership: Strong project leadership abilities for complex, multi-team initiatives
  • Programming: Expert-level software design skills with proven results in challenging domains
  • Navigating Complexity: Proven track record of delivering complex projects with significant business impact
  • Communication: Excellent communication and influence skills across organizational boundaries
  • SW Licensing: Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of various software licensing models, including open-source, proprietary, and hybrid licenses.
  • CI/CD: Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated build and test processes, and integration with version control systems.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • BS/MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field
  • 8+ years of software development experience
  • Track record of technical leadership on significant projects
