The Enterprise Solutions team, as part of Professional Services, works with Altium’s largest customers to build tools, systems and integrations to our on-prem and cloud enterprise software that align with customer workflows.

You will tackle complex technical problems at a global scale, implement solutions used in major customer deployments and work closely with customers’ software engineers in adopting our APIs and bridges. Your technical expertise will be critical in ensuring enterprise clients maximize the benefits of Altium’s platform, driving productivity and innovation in the electronics industry.

This role offers the flexibility to work fully remote from the UK. Occasional travel within Europe may be required.

A Day in the Life of an Enterprise Solutions Software Engineer:

As a software engineer in the Enterprise Solutions team your day will be varied with a mix of project work and operational responsibilities:

    • PROBLEM-SOLVING: Investigate and resolve complex technical problems for our enterprise customers using your troubleshooting skills to propose and implement effective solutions.
    • DEVELOPMENT: Design and deliver systems using C# and .NET Core with a focus on creating robust and scalable enterprise-grade solutions.
    • COLLABORATION: Work closely with other engineering teams across Altium on new features, integrations, tools and scripts.
    • CONSULTING: Engage with customers to understand their workflows and requirements to enable you to build solutions to address their business problems using the Altium platform.

Who We’re Looking For:

  • EXPERIENCE: A minimum of least three years of professional experience as a software engineer, with a strong focus on C# and .NET.
  • TRACK RECORD: Demonstrated success in developing and maintaining large software platforms, particularly within enterprise-grade environments.
  • PROBLEM-SOLVING: Strong analytical abilities with a proven aptitude for troubleshooting and resolving complex issues.
  • COMMUNICATION & COLLABORATION: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in both team-based and independent settings. You should be confident in explaining complex concepts to diverse audiences.
  • VERSATILITY: Experience with multiple programming languages, methodologies and approaches, with a preference for those familiar with Agile practices.

Preferred Technology Experience

  • Proficiency in C# and .NET is essential. Python is a strong plus.
  • Hands-on experience of AWS: EC2, ECS, RDS etc.
  • Designing and consuming APIs - GraphQL, MVC, REST.
  • Containerization using Docker, ECS or Kubernetes.
  • Database systems - MySQL and ideally Firebird.
  • Version control using Git and/or SVN.
  • DevOps practices, including CI/CD using GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
