What we're looking for
Do you remember the thrill and further delight that you got from solving your first problems by programming a solution to them? The feeling you got when you saw it was working? We want to deliver that to our users when they start their business but in a very streamlined and straightforward interface. We want to create the infrastructure that allows business owners to launch their companies seamlessly. And also operate it hassle-free while keeping it compliant. Today, the infrastructure and services are in our hands to build these software layers, but we need a great engineer to help us deliver on this promise.
You'll build and maintain our backend apps: our Admin Panel, our API, and several other services that form part of our automation, which creates companies, connects with banking APIs, and the IRS (Internal Revenue Service), using technologies like NodeJS, Java, and Typescript.
What We Look For In You
- Experience: You should have a minimum of 3+ years of non-internship experience in backend web development, with at least 2 years of experience in developing web applications and shipping backend features using Javascript/Typescript.
- Proficiency: You've developed and shipped services using NodeJs following design principles, and have worked on databases like Postgres or MySQL and AWS. Proficiency in Nodejs along with strong skills in TypeScript, is a must.
- Knowledge: You're familiar with current trends and best practices in backend architecture, including performance, security, and scalability. Experience with GraphQL is an added advantage.
- Collaboration: You're comfortable collaborating closely with designers, engineers, and product managers throughout the product and design life cycles to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
- Flexibility: You should be able to work in EU or sometimes US time zones and be flexible to shift your working hours as needed to accommodate team meetings and collaboration across different time zones.
- Quality Code: You write high-quality, well-tested code to meet the needs of our customers. Strong attention to detail and adherence to coding standards is essential.
Bonus points
- You're proficient with any part of our technology stack: Node.js, Java, Postgres, AWS, Terraform.
- Startup Experience: Experience working in a startup environment and familiarity with startup culture would be beneficial.
- Proficiency in using version control systems like Git for collaborative development, code review, and continuous integration/deployment processes.
